"Conquerer of Mountains" "Destroyer of Weakness"

A daily staple in my health regimen, a pea sized amount of Shilajit every morning provides every essential mineral and many amino acids needed to keep our brains and bodies running at it's full capability. Shilajit is a Sanskrit word meaning “conqueror of mountains” and “destroyer of weakness”. It is believed to be a powerful adaptogen, which balances and strengthens the body allowing it to function at an optimal level.

Shilajit is a powerhouse of nutrients and biologically active organic substances that is pressed from the Earth high in the Himalayan mountains. Genuine Shilajit takes millions of years and perfect conditions to produce. The pressure from the weight of the mountains and the extreme temperature changes of the Himalayas causes the plants to be transformed into a rich mineral mass that flows out of the rocks. The Shilajit I use is a dense resin, found veined within rocks and carefully purified so that no sediment or rock remains. The environment is pristine and free from pollutants, fertilizers and chemicals.

The most sought after and rare form is the night-black mineral resin. Authentic, quality Shilajit always has a distinct strong tar like odor that is unmistakable.

Traditional folklore has it that Shilajit was originally discovered by villagers in a mountainous area, the villagers noticed that the monkeys would go high up in the mountains and would collect a gummy substance that seemed to have flowed out of the rocks. These monkeys were admired for their strength, intelligence and longevity. The villagers came to learn that these qualities had something to do with the substance the monkeys went out of their way to obtain. As the villagers began to collect the Shilajit and use it themselves then began to notice a broad spectrum of health improvements.

Over the course of millions of years the lush primeval vegetation that once blanketed Asia was decomposed by the forces of nature, eventually becoming highly compacted under the weight of the mountains, which later formed as continental plates collided. Over 6,500 species of ancient plants spent many millennia in a geological alchemy that created a thick, black, resin like substance trapped deep within the Himalayas. The relentless monsoons and ever-increasing pressure eventually caused this tar to begin seeping from cracks in the side of the mountain.

Shilajit is one of the most nutrient dense substances on the planet. Laboratory analysis of Shilajit reveals a complete spectrum of every essential mineral on the planet in Ionic form - the most easily absorbable and assimilated by the human body. Scientist also found amino acids, fulvic & humic acids, ellagic acid, fatty acids & plant sterols.

One of the primary ways it does this is through its action on the endocrine system. Helping to fight stress and fatigue while rejuvenating and regenerating cells.

Shilajit increases the production of the bodys primary fuel supply adenosine triphosphate (ATP) this energy supply is made by the mitochondria in every cell as they convert food into ATP or energy. The mitochondria are responsible for muscle strength along with the enzyme CoQ10. Shilajit alone has been shown to activate, stabilize and revitalize CoQ10, making it more available to boost mitochondrial energy production.

Himalayan Shilajit contains a unique range of fulvic acids. Fulvic acid is considered to be one of the most powerful electrolytes known to man. It enhances the permeability of cell membranes, and can improve the healthy permeability of the digestive tract, renal membranes and capillaries. Fulvic Acids greatly enhance the bioavailability of trace minerals required by the body to function optimally. The Fulvic acids in Shilajit have the ability to restore electrical balance to damaged cells. When Fulvic Acids are present in the body and cellular fluids, minerals become ionized, they become part of the Fulvic Acid itself!

Acetylcholine is a neurotransmitter that is critical for brain function, memory & attention. Stress and aging decrease levels of Acetylcholine. Shilajit has been found to inhibit the enzyme that breaks down Acetylcholine.

Shilajit drives oxygen, minerals and nutrients into the brain tissue and supports the brains natural ability to drain these damaging proteins (beta-amyloid - plaque - tau)

Shilajit stimulates the parasympathetic nervous system which aids in the rebuilding, repair & rejuvenation of the nervous system.

It also, increases the bioavailability and action of other herbs. It binds to herbal constituents and minerals, delivering them to there targets.

When I first started taking Shilajit, I noticed my energy level and mood soar through the roof. I felt super human as my body took in all of the essentials I had been missing in my diet for my entire life. I encourage anyone interested in returning their body and mind to it's proper state of well being to give Shilajit a try.
